Play video and resume watching
Playback depends on the video file, source network, and device. First make the original file play reliably, then adjust subtitles, audio, and picture-related options.
1.Open a movie or video file
Use a library poster to open details, select a version if available, and play. To check an unindexed file, open it directly in the source file list. On touch devices, tap the picture to reveal controls; on TV, use the remote.
2.Seek, pause, and change tracks
Use the progress bar and pause control, then choose an existing audio track or subtitle. Track availability depends on the file. Source resolution and app quality options do not guarantee a new version exists.
3.Exit normally and resume
Leave through the player’s exit or back control. Return through Continue Watching or the same title to check its saved position. Start-over and resume choices use the selected client’s available controls.
4.Configure other devices separately
For cross-device history, configure iCloud, Trakt, or a supported server feature. Confirm that both clients can access the same media. Signing in to BoxPlayer alone does not configure all watch-history syncing.
Before you finish
- The video loads reliably
- The intended audio and subtitle tracks are selected
- Continue watching returns to the expected position
